The RYA Day Skipper course delivers a comprehensive introduction to chartwork, navigation, meteorology and the basics of seamanship. It is invaluable for learning how to start making decisions on board and as preparation if you are considering taking the RYA Day Skipper practical course.

 

Course Aim: To deliver sufficient knowledge to enable candidates to navigate around familiar waters by day.

 

Duration: The course is conducted over 40 hours and includes 2 assessment papers.

 

Experience: Some practical experience is desirable.

 

Minimum Age: There is no minimum age to take the course.

 

Costs: Individual on course £330,

         Dedicated 1 to 1 training £795.
