This is an endorsement course for experienced RYA Powerboat Instructors who wish to teach the RYA Advanced Course. The course will cover the syllabus, teaching points and safety considerations in order to confidently teach day and night passages to the standard of the Advanced Powerboat Course.

 

Course Aim: To develop the skills and confidence to teach navigation on a planning powerboat by day and night as laid out by the RYA in their Advanced Powerboat Course.

 

Duration: The training is conducted over 2 days.

 

Experience: RYA Powerboat Instructor Certificate, VHF/DSC Certificate, Current First Aid, Advanced Powerboat Certificate.

 

Costs: Individual on a course of 3 students £275.  

         Group booking for 3 people £750.                                                

 

 

 

Preparation Day

 

In addition to the formal RYA Advanced Powerboat Instructor's course, Devon Powerboating offers a Preparation day to refresh your skills. This is offered immediately prior to the start of each Advanced Powerboat Instructor course. This optional day is charged separately and candidates do not have to attend, but may find it advantageous to familiarise themselves with the centre, equipment and operating areas.
